Jan. and Feb. 2010 Ehow Earnings so far!

What is happening with ehow? I can't help myself to constantly check my ehow stats every day. As some people may hate ehow, and others just love ehow no matter what, I am mutual. I have my moments where I am so upset with ehow but I still check my stats everyday. Usually at 10:00a.m. everyday, my earnings update and I am so thrilled. Seeing my earnings increase a couple dollars a day makes me wonder if it matters if I continue to write articles or just leave the ones that I have to earn the money by them selves?

My ehow comments tab is still not showing up and I have two articles that are still not published and I wrote them about a week ago. Yikes, how patient can somebody be? I want my articles published and contacting support at ehow is no longer working. Ehow says they are fixing the problems but how do we know for sure?  Oh and another thing that has me curious is the UK website compensation that we all are waiting patiently for. Why can't we get more details on this?

I finally made my first $50 a month at ehow, YeePee. I had pushed myself to write 100 articles and in January of this year, 2010, I made $52.20.  I am including a screen shot below of proof of earnings for January and so far in February, I have made $11.88 with 111 articles. I seem to be earning on average $2 a day from my earnings. Does it look like I am on track with everyone else? Please feel free to state your comments, postitive or negative in the comments below. Also, if you enclose your article links url or your ehow blog address, I will certainly take some time to read your articles.

  1. Hello Tammy:

It's me again. Congrats on your earnings. I am also waiting for my 2nd article to be approved. I just wrote to them asking about it. I turned it in 1/23/10. How in the world am I going to find 300 things to write about? Also, how do they determine how much earnings each article should get? I'm looking forward to your answers.

  2. Hi Slee, Thank-you for taking time to read my post and following my new ehow blog. Ehow has a "secret" method of determining our earnings. I know it has something to do with how many clicks that we receive on our ads that are on the articles. Everyone on the ehow forums are so strict on bringing the earnings knowledge out so I am here to say that we earn by how much revenue we produce per article, we get a percentage and the larger part goes to ehow. Writing good keyword based articles that people are searching for is the key to get traffic and income from your articles. Think of what you are skilled at....? Can you share that information with others? Does everyone else know how to do what you do? If not, beat your competition by writing more useful information. If others already know, then try to find something people don't know how to do and learn how to do it and write a great article on how to do it. I hope my answers make sense and help you earn more money at ehow. I followed your link via email and I spent some time viewing it...I would need more time to actually know what the website has to offer. Thanks Samuel again for keeping in touch with me and asking questions. I really appreciate your courosity and friendship.
    Tammy

  3. Compared to my earnings - you are doing wonderful! I also reached 100 articles but have not broken $50 - it looks like maybe this month will be the month. Seems that the whole Google and UK things have tampered with the algorithm (sp?) because according to my research both of us should be well over $150 by now and closer to $300 once those articles turn 4-6 months old. So I guess we will just have to wait and see... Keep up the great work and pls keep us informed of your progress =)

  9. Hi Elaine, Thanks for commenting on my ehow blog.
I had over 15 articles in my first month and only made $8.49 or something like that I would have to double check. Make a goal to reach 50 articles and then by that time, the article ideas will start really coming to you. Good Luck, You are doing good.

  10. Interesting how low the UK compensation turned out to be. hardly worth asking for actually.

  11. Tammy, I think this is about average give or take $10 plus or minus. I have approached 90 articles and I'm going to hit around the expected average.

I really think ehow is a premium pay site for this type of amateur writer. "How To" is the corner market.
